"I love thrift shopping in the US, but thrifting in
Canada seems even better because of the exchange rate! The
best deal we've found was last March, when all the winter
clothes were on sale for half price. My friend found a hat,
glove and scarf set marked $1. It was half off that, and if
you calculate in the exchange rate, she paid about $0.30US for
it! I found a really nice brown coat, an authentic Scottish
kilt and a Cat in the Hat stovepipe hat...
I
paid about $4.50US for all three!
This spring, two
friends and I have a goal of hitting every Value Village from
Niagara Falls to Orillia, so we've got out work cut out for
us! Thanks for creating a great store with low prices!" -
